The film revolves around the works by baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi: three opera arias, a symphony overture in three movements and a double violin concerto in two movements. These eight different movements are staged as eight individual “music videos”. Each has its own unique and very untraditional staging, light setting, and camera handling. The songs and instrumental movements are carefully mixed, making a dramatic and picturesque unity. Both musicians and the pictures tell a story of feelings that travel from dramatic, dark, and angry arias to dreamy mild violin solos. Always carrying the vivid expression of Vivaldi’s popular tunes.
