The Queen’s New Garden
The Queen’s New Garden
A large-scale project begins, involving hundreds of professionals. The goal: To make the gardens at Fredensborg shine again, as they did in their prime two hundred and fifty years ago. The Queen herself joins the decision-making processes, as historic trees are felled, tons of dirt moved around, and unique sculptures given new life. The job is in the hands of some of the kingdom’s most skilled architects and artisans. But nature puts up plenty of resistance. Hostile weather conditions cause critical delays.
