Overcooked

OVERCOOKED is a comedy series about five Copenhageners in their 40’s who meet once a month in their Dinner Club. The Dinner Club goes under a fast transformation when Sigrid drops the bomb that she is getting divorced. This sets an avalanche of possibilities in motion for everybody, as they are forced look at their own lives and relationships. The two and a half couples and their offspring thus give rise to quite a few nearby, funny, quirky and sharp-sighted conflicts, which everyone knows in some version from their own food club, family or bonus context. They are ruled by a dramaturgy that explores the various constellations in turn in satirical opposites. How one can be consistent in one’s upbringing of children is an eternally current question, and precisely the given constellation of approaches in the adults exposes the completely classic dilemmas between authority and slackness, consequence, and inconsistency. And in case of indulgence, the reaction of the children is prompt: Why is he allowed when we are not?
