An open-hearted portrait of a 34-year-old Mary Donaldson, who married His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in May 2004 – thus becoming a member of one of the oldest monarchies of the world. Mary Donaldson takes us back to Australia and her native Tasmania, where she talks about her cultural background, her upbringing – and about falling in love with a prince in succession to the throne. The programme also follows Mary Donaldson through her preparations to become ‘a real princess’.
