A Secret Gift
Bjørn lives in the capital city with his Christmas crazed father and his little sister Gro. His father is in a tight spot, and in desperation he rents out their apartment to a gloomy fella’ called “The Lollipop”. Now homeless, the small family moves into the father’s workplace – the Royal Theater – and lives in all secrecy on the loft.
Bjørn has just turned 13. He leads a normal teenage life, hangs out with his friends, and goes to school. But his body has started to have a life of its own. He experiences an exaggerated hair growth and an uncontrollable desire to dance – this is quite inconvenient when living in secrecy. Is this how puberty normally works?
The family’s little helper, Gro, tries to keep a hold of her distracted father, their unstable economy, and her now hairy, dancing older brother. As Christmas approaches, she has had enough and decides to pursue her own secret Christmas dream, which has fatal consequences. Luckily, being the older brother, Bjørn comes to her rescue – and in the process he learns more about his strange puberty symptoms and discovers who he really is.
