She has to call her mum once a week to stay in touch. But Maisha hates these calls. Instead she plans a trip to Tanzania to face her mum and tell her just how stupid she thinks she is.

Has her mother ended in prostitution or committed crime again? The mother has told her on the phone that she has started a chicken farm, but Maisha is bottled up on the mother’s lies.

In Dar-Es-Salaam Maisha reunites with her mother. But sadly, their happiness is short-lived: Where is the chicken farm the mother has talked about? Maisha is trying to get a clear answer from her mother. Finally the mother decides to tell the truth.

Home in Denmark Maisha come to a realization. She wants to do something with her life. She loves her mother. But she will never be like her.
